DMCA Policy

Last updated: May 2025

Wipzu respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). In accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512(c), we respond promptly to valid takedown notices submitted to our designated contact below.

Games on Wipzu are embedded from their original third-party hosts via iframe — we do not host game files directly. When a valid notice is received, we will remove the game listing from Wipzu and, where possible, forward the notice to the original host.

How to submit a takedown notice

Send your notice to [email protected] with the subject line "DMCA Takedown Notice". Your notice must include all of the following:

  1. Your full name and contact information (email address required; postal address if available).
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  3. The specific URL(s) on wipzu.com where the allegedly infringing content appears.
  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
  6. Your electronic or physical signature.
Notices missing any of the above elements may not be actioned. Please review your notice against this list before sending.
Warning: submitting a false DMCA notice is a federal offense under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f) and may expose you to liability for damages, including legal fees.

What happens next

We aim to respond to valid, complete notices within 3–5 business days. Upon receiving a qualifying notice, we will remove or disable access to the identified content as promptly as reasonably possible.

Counter-notices

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to [email protected] with the subject line "DMCA Counter-Notice". A valid counter-notice must include:

  1. Your name and contact information.
  2. Identification of the removed content and the URL where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court in your area, or if outside the US, to any judicial district in which Wipzu may be found.
  5. Your signature.

Repeat infringers

Wipzu will take appropriate action against sources responsible for repeated copyright infringement, including permanent removal of their content from the site.
