About Stack Rush

Stack Rush is a stacking game where you time the drop of swinging platform slabs to build a tower as tall as possible. A new slab swings over the current top of your stack from one side to the other, and you press a button to drop it. The slab lands on whatever portion overlaps the previous layer — any overhanging part breaks off and falls away. The remaining portion becomes the new top layer, and the next slab swings above it.

Precision compounds over the run. A perfect drop — landing the slab exactly aligned with the layer below — retains full width for the next layer. A slightly misaligned drop reduces the width by the overhanging amount. After a few imperfect drops in a row, the platform top shrinks until a slab lands completely off the edge and the tower falls. The scoring pressure comes from maintaining near-perfect alignment throughout a sequence, not just on one drop.

Slab swing speed increases with tower height. Early drops have a generous swing cadence that allows deliberate timing. As the tower grows, the slab moves faster across the gap, compressing the window for precise drops. This speed escalation means a careful, accurate early game is required before the fast slab late game becomes manageable — trying to rush the early stacks to save time results in a narrow top that fails quickly in the faster sections.

Stack Rush adds a rush element through limited-time bonus windows. Occasionally a golden slab appears that, if dropped within a narrow time window, perfectly auto-aligns with the previous layer regardless of timing precision. Missing the golden slab window means it drops as a normal slab with normal precision requirements. Identifying and reacting to golden slab indicators while maintaining focus on regular drops is the bonus skill layer.

Key Features

  • Precision stacking with compounding accuracy — each imperfect drop narrows the top layer
  • Escalating slab swing speed as the tower grows taller
  • Golden slab bonus windows: perfect auto-alignment if dropped within a time limit
  • Width preservation mechanic — perfect drops maintain full platform size
  • Visual overhang breaking — excess slab portions physically detach and fall
  • Score based on tower height plus precision bonus for consecutive perfect drops

How to Play

  1. 1Watch the slab swing from side to side above the current tower top.
  2. 2Press Space or tap when the slab is directly over the previous layer. The overlap portion lands; the overhang breaks off.
  3. 3Aim for perfect alignment (no overhang) to maintain full platform width. The narrower the top layer, the harder subsequent drops become.
  4. 4When a golden slab appears (distinct visual indicator), drop it immediately within the highlighted window for a free perfect alignment.
  5. 5As the tower grows and slab speed increases, shift your timing reference from the left edge of the slab to the center — it produces more consistent alignment at higher speeds.

Tips & Tricks

  • Consistent timing reference is more important than perfect timing. Pick one visual cue per drop (slab center over the left edge of the previous layer, for example) and commit to it — vary the cue and accuracy degrades.
  • A narrow top layer is not a death sentence if you recover immediately with several precise drops. Slab width can partially recover if a very precise drop lands square on the remaining surface.
  • At maximum slab speed, the swing rhythm becomes your primary timing tool rather than visual position. Count the swing cycles and drop on the same count consistently rather than tracking visual position frame by frame.

FAQ

No — the tower only collapses when a dropped slab misses the platform entirely. Timing out or hesitating doesn't cause a fall, though the slab continues swinging until you drop it.

A perfect drop lands the slab with zero overhang — the incoming slab is exactly aligned with the top layer's width and position. Perfect drops maintain full platform width and award a bonus score multiplier.

Golden slabs appear randomly rather than on a fixed interval. They cannot be predicted — watch for the visual indicator between drops and react when one appears.
