About FrontWars.io
FrontWars.io is a real-time multiplayer territory control strategy game where players command armies of small soldiers across a shared map, capturing neutral and enemy territories to expand their domain. You start with a home base and a small force; each territory you control generates more troops over time, which you can then send to capture adjacent territories or reinforce positions under attack from other players.
The core mechanic is an adapted version of the 'Galcon' cell-capture formula: click a territory you own and drag to a target territory to send troops. The number of troops sent is a percentage of the origin territory's current garrison. If the sent force exceeds the defenders, you capture the territory; if not, both sides take losses. All of this happens in real time across a live map with 10–20 simultaneous players.
Strategic depth emerges from the resource-vs-expansion tension. Sending all your troops to capture a territory leaves your home exposed; keeping too many troops at home lets other players expand unchecked. The map's geography matters — hub territories connected to many others are high-value targets that generate multiplicative expansion. Identifying and contesting these hubs early determines long-run viability.
FrontWars.io's 4.7 rating reflects how well it executes this multiplayer territorial formula. Sessions are short (3–8 minutes per match), which makes it easy to play multiple rounds and improve. The IO format means you're always playing against human opponents at similar skill levels, not bots, making each match feel genuinely competitive.

How to Play
- 1Enter the game and observe the starting map. Your color marks your home base. Neutral territories (grey) and rival players' territories surround you.
- 2Click your home base and drag to an adjacent neutral territory to capture it. Send 50% of your troops — enough to take neutral territory without depleting your defense.
- 3Prioritize capturing hub territories — nodes connected to 3 or more other territories. Whoever controls hubs controls expansion speed.
- 4Watch rival players' territory borders. When a neighbor overextends (lots of arrows leaving their territories), their borders become thin — strike those exposed territories before they reinforce.
- 5Maintain a defense reserve at your home and key border territories. Never send 100% of troops — if someone attacks while your garrison is empty, you lose the territory instantly.
- 6The player who controls the most territory when the match timer expires (or who eliminates all rivals) wins the round. Score is typically territory count at match end.
Tips & Tricks
- The first 60 seconds determine map position. Expand aggressively into neutral territory immediately — hesitation lets rivals secure hubs before you.
- Hub territory raids are the highest-EV attack in the game. A rival's hub costs them all the expansion advantage of that node — even a failed raid that costs you troops forces them to reinforce, delaying their expansion.
- Never attack a territory with exactly 50% of the origin's troops against a fully garrisoned target — you'll likely fail with heavy losses. Send 60–70% against defended territory or wait until you have a significant force advantage.
- When two rivals are fighting each other, capture their undefended rear territories rather than joining the fight. Two-front war losses are opportunities, not threats.
- In the late game, consolidate your borders before attacking the leader. Scattered territory with long borders is hard to defend simultaneously — compress your domain first.

FAQ
Typically 10–20 players share each live map session. Actual numbers depend on server population at the time you join.
Controlling the most territory when the match timer ends, or eliminating all rival players by capturing their home bases, wins the match.
Map position and hub control often matter more than individual skill. A player who starts adjacent to multiple hubs and secures them early can dominate even against more experienced rivals.
Most FrontWars.io matches last 3–8 minutes. The short session length makes it easy to improve across multiple rounds in a single sitting.
